Soapstone has been used as wash tubs and sinks since the 1800s because of its durablity and easy maintenance. Many homes today still have the original soapstone sinks and wash tubs from that era.
You have the option of our quality made soapstone sinks that are assembled from 1 1/4" slabs or solid block seamless sinks which are carved out of solid chunks of soapstone.
Custom Made Soapstone Sinks:
Although these dimensions are "not written in soapstone", we suggest a few standard sizes. We at M. Teixeira Soapstone understand that every home is unique and may require slight size adjustments. That's why we do not charge any extra to custom design your very own sink. Please contact us, and we'll help you decide on the best size and/or shape to fit your present layout.

Solid Block Soapstone Sinks:
These soapstone sinks are hand-carved out of one single block of soapstone. The main advantage of having a solid block soapstone sink is the fact that the inside corners are round, making it easier to clean and maintain.
We currently have two sizes in stock for our soapstone block sinks:
- 27" x 18 1/2" x 10"
- 30" x 18 1/2" x 10"

Soapstone Vessel Sinks:
A soapstone vessel sink can create a modern soft look in any bathroom or powder room. Our round vessel sinks are currently available in the size of 16 1/2" x 6"

Soapstone Kitchen Sink
A Soapstone kitchen sink can be a single bowl or double bowl apron or farmhouse sink, with dimensions ranging from 24" to over 33" wide by 18" to 22" front to back and depths up to 10".
